On a journey to explore his own roots, Lance Sampson (aka Aquakultre) travels to Nova Scotia’s historic Black communities to meet the elders and local legends, learn the history, hear family stories, and share in the warmth and beauty of community.

“If we don’t begin to document the stories our parents and grandparents share with us, they will forever be lost. This show is giving us the opportunity to tell our stories our way, and preserve our memories as a tool for people to learn.”
